A bespoke CitySprint solution ensuring the safe delivery of vital medication.

Medical compliance challenge

The University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is one of largest hospital in the South West peninsula, offering comprehensive secondary and tertiary healthcare. Their location gives them a secondary care catchment population of 450,000 with a wider population of over 2,000,000 people who can access their specialist services. They work within a group of other hospitals offering a range of specialist services such as kidney transplant, cardiothoracic surgery and neonatal intensive care.

The pharmacy department based at University Hospitals Plymouth hold a specialist licence allowing them to provide a wide range of medication for the whole of the South West and beyond. This licence is heavily regulated by the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency). The pharmacy department must adhere to strict guidelines and turned to CitySprint for an effective bespoke delivery service.
