Offering the best resources for patients
NHS South East London Integrated Care System (SEL ICS) is a clinically-led organisation responsible for planning and monitoring most health services in East London. Their goal is to offer the highest standards of patient care and resources to over 1.9 million people living in the area.
During the recent COVID-19 pandemic and the different restrictions put in place, the organisation required a trusted logistics partner to support their services for patient care.
Designing a new solution
CitySprint Health worked closely with the SEL ICS, to understand how they could collect and transport vital pulse oximeters to the homes of patients in South East London who had tested positive for COVID-19 during the pandemic.
The purpose of the pulse oximeter is to monitor health by measuring blood oxygen levels for patients and prevent different health risks. With strong warehousing capabilities, we offered same day deliveries to ensure patients could monitor their health when required.
Keeping everyone safe
The service offered by CitySprint Health meant that vulnerable individuals who were most at risk could safely stay on top of their blood oxygen saturation and pulse rate without exposing others to the virus. With this support, the NHS organisation could focus their efforts on critical frontline services and have more capacity for patient care.
Reducing waste and emissions
By using an advanced routing software, couriers could use the most efficient routes designed to reduce emissions and lower the costs for SEL ICS. Our solution also enabled the reuse of oximeters for different patients via quick and efficient collections, avoiding any unnecessary waste.
