Tackling climate emergency
As part of our CSR commitment, CitySprint is dedicated to building a greener future, with the goal of having a fleet of over 200+ green vehicles, operating in all major cities across the UK by the end of 2023.
Following this commitment and our green objectives, we joined Leeds City Council’s campaign in August 2021 and trailed one of their electric vans for our local deliveries in the area.
Sustainable changes
Working closely with the local authority, our Leeds service centre manager, Andy Parry, acquired a 3-month trial for the electric van.
Due to the success of this trial and a great relationship with the council, Andy successfully arranged an extension until March 2022.
Delivering success
From November 2021 onwards, our local team in Leeds acquired 4 additional electric vans for the CitySprint fleet to use. Since then, our fleet of electric vans have completed over 48,400 green miles for many of our clients around the local area.
Since the start of 2022, over 5300+ bookings have been completed by electric vans across West Yorkshire.
Pursuing our green journey
With all our 25+ sites across the UK powered by renewable energy, we are installing more e-charging stations to support our increasing fleet of electric vans.
Since the launch of our green and sustainable fleet, we have saved over 560 tonnes of CO2, using 5 different types of green vehicles delivering for our customers.
